Le Chalet de la Foret - Brussels

True foodie heaven!
Our first visit to the Le Chalet de la Foret was not totally impressive for several reasons. First, the staff considered us as tourists who will never return again, we were basically ignored. Second, the main course, that was roasted duck, was served too rare and a quite tough. So, on our second visit, which this time we got more recognition and attention, we tried to avoid red meat and stuck to fish dishes, which were excellent!! If we had to mention a negative remark, it would be the portion was too small.
Only recently we visited the restaurant twice in a week, just to show how addicted we got!
These times we wanted to try red meat! Roasted lamb chops sounded like a tempting option. And we were not disappointed. The meat was cooked just perfect and it melt in the mouth. The chef left a bit of fat on the skin to retain the flavour, tasty! A bottle of Burgundy premier cru to go with the lamb and we were blown away!

It was such a treat!
And the jasmin souffle as dessert, completed our lunch. We highly recommended this restaurant! Book in advance, they do get busy during lunch time. Ask for daily special, you will not be disappointed.
