Long lunchers, we have a good news!
Scott's Restaurant at Mount Street London it is. A chic restaurant, located at prestigious street, surrounded by high-end boutiques, serves great selections of food and it opens all day non-stop from noon to 10.30 PM daily, except on Sunday they close half an hour early. 


We have visited Scott's several times now. In our experience the best time to lunch if you prefer less hectic ambiance then reserve a table for anytime after 2 PM. 


Right, let's get into the food...
As a little celebration for finding a good restaurant that opens all day, we started with a tiny pot of Sevruga caviar, served with blinis and all the condiments. It was not exactly the finest, but worked to bring out our little celebration mood. A couple glasses of champagne helped too. 30 gram caviar did not last very long of course, so we ordered shellfish bisque before get into the main course. And it was rather delicious. Rich in texture, creamy and shellfish-ey... Just as we have expected it to turn out. 

To complete our 'seafood' theme that day, we chose Lobster Thermidor for main course. Along with a portion of chips, wild herb salad and a good bottle of chilled Beaune 1er Cru. Another satisfying choices on our first visit to Scott's. Lobster tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. Although, we must admit, we had lobster thermidor in different occasion after that and it did not turn out as well as the first time we had it. Consistency of quality obviously the hardest challenge here. 

Time for the desserts. What a better dessert to clear the palate after seafood-ey meals than a champagne sorbet then followed by cake topped with summer berries, pistachios and raspberry sorbet. Delicious!!

If you fancy a light bite for lunch, we would recommend you to try Scott's Shrimp Burger with dill pickle and lemon mayonnaise or Smoked Halibut and Asparagus Salad with fried Oysters or select some fresh Oysters. We were rather impressed by those light bites. But when it comes to dessert, our top choice now goes to Pavlova with summer berries! Absolutely divine! We could not have enough of it... Not very wise choice for the waist line, but... let's not get all worried about it for now...
